adidas Y-3 And NEIGHBORHOOD Present The Nizzastar Lo

Two totemic Japanese brands come together.

adidas Y-3 And NEIGHBORHOOD Present The Nizzastar Lo

Now more than two decades into their partnership, adidas and Y-3 have increasingly shown a willingness to bring a third player into the mix. Within the past year, END. Clothing has released a variation of the Y-3 A3 Control, while Wales Bonner’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection flashed a soccer-inspired design jointly helmed by the two Three Stripes titans. While we continue to track that border-crossing collaboration, Yohji Yamamoto’s brand stays within Japan for their latest, a Y-3 / Neighborhood collection centered on the adidas Nizzastar Lo.

The Nizza proper, an archival basketball shoe that harkens to the days when hoopers relied on simplistic compositions of canvas and rubber, has been a recent favorite of Y-3. A focus of their Fall/Winter 2024 efforts, the experimental fashion label then produced the Nizzastar shortly afterwards, naturally making good on its title by affixing the iconic shell toe for a decades-spanning mashup. Those with a passing familiarity of Yamamoto’s work won’t be shocked to hear that the Neighborhood Nizzastar Low isn’t its first attempt at all-black, but the contrast midsole stitching and co-branding details on the tongue do a lot to zhuzh up this tri-partner pair.

Helping to demonstrate the motorcycle narrative inspiration behind this capsule, a hi-octane apparel range of leather jackets, tees, and racer pants will accompany these kicks. Sadly, though they’re a standout of the campaign images, the custom designed helmets won’t be hitting the public. Everything that will, including the adidas Y-3 NEIGHBORHOOD Nizzastar Lo, will hit adidas.com/Y-3 and the brand’s ComplexCon in-person presence on October 25th.
