The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 Goes Double Metallic

The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 Goes Double Metallic

It’s a bountiful time in Air Max. Nike’s protected and vaunted cushioning innovation is, of course, still helmed by staple shoes like the Air Max 95, but has introduced next-gen innovations like the Air Max 1000, fashion-forward reimaginings like the Air Max Muse, and evolved next steps like the Air Max DN8.

For enthusiasts of the line’s history, perhaps it’s the crate-digging bring-back efforts that remain the most appealing. The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 has been a steady heartbeat in that regard, dipping back into the Swoosh’s earnest Y2K catalog to revive the “Total Air” silhouette.

Beginning to pick up steam with attention-grabbing “Neon” and all-red looks alongside its first collab (the PSG Air Max TL 2.5), the colorway at hand sees the model stick around in territory it’s already comfortable in. White mesh underpinnings and burgundy detailing pair with chrome siding and a gold Swoosh for a retro sportstyle vibe overall, obviously carrying a bit of extra glamour in that “double metallic” combination.

The Nike Air Max TL 2.5 “Phantom/Metallic Silver” is due out as part of the Holiday 2025 slate, retailing for $185.
