Andrew Rizzo If you stay loyal to all-black footwear, Holiday 2025 is the season for you. Not only are the beloved “Black Cat” 4s returning in November — Nike, Jordan Brand, and every other major sneaker company is leaning into cool-weather fashion with all-black colorways of their most popular models.
Here we have a murdered-out New Balance 2010 featuring washed leather and suede — a slightly more premium look than what we’ve come to expect from the model thus far. The shoe’s usual reflective “N” logo is removed and replaced by leather over suede, complemented by another key leather placement around the heel. The underlays are altered as well, forgoing their usual lined synthetic material in favor of perforated suede.
All things considered, the shoe does a fine job of balancing versatility with subtle material upgrades. We’re reminded of the upcoming Air Max 95 “Triple Black Leather”, which also puts a spin on its base model’s norm with tasteful, luxe touches. All-black New Balance lifestyle sneakers have proven pretty popular — including versions of the New Balance 9060 and New Balance 1000 — so it’s possible these might move quickly. The ABZORB-cushioned 2010 silhouette debuted this summer and has already laid a solid foundation, having checked off several compelling general releases and collabs with Kith and WTAPS in the months since.
