Sneaker News You already know about the Nike Mind 001. As it turns out, there’s a more sneaker-like build of this new style called the Nike Mind 002, and it’s dropping in early 2026.
Nike officially unveiled both the Mind 002 and the 001 silhouette, revealing the incredible neuroscience-based engineering that went behind this cozy and comfy-looking set of sneakers. This shoes have been in development for ten years, and they’re finally ready for market on January 8th, 2026 for $145.
According to Nike, the Mind footwear series focuses on mind-body connection. The standout feature of this new journey is the bottom where twenty-two independent foam nodules of different sizes are placed strategically to activate sensory receptors in the feet.
“Nike Mind is a new sensory-footwear concept that helps reawaken the foot, the body and the mind,” says Eric Avar, VP, Creative Director, Innovation.
These new models are also the first market-ready footwear designs to come out of Nike’s new Mind Science Department, a unique new team within the famed Nike Sports Research Lab. At their disposal is one of the few mobile brain and body imaging labs in the world.
