From skating to hooping.

The Jordan Luka .77 “Space Navigator” Channels The Pigeon Dunk

PJ Tucker, the undisputed king of NBA kicks, made no secret of his love for the Nike SB Dunk, yet drew the line at lacing up the revered skate style for pro action — regardless of its erstwhile history as a basketball model. Perhaps Luka Dončić was paying attention to that problem, bringing the beloved icon to the hardwood as he cooked up his latest.

Of course, as spelled out in the title, we’re drawing a line between the crimson collars of the Jordan Luka .77 “Space Navigator” and the now-notorious Staple x Nike SB Dunk Low. We’ll freely admit that it takes some squinting to get there, but it should be known that there is some precedent for this archive-digging effort. Namely, both the Luka 4 and Luka .77 have taken on looks inspired by vaunted Jumpman pairs in their “White Cement” editions. Even without the sneaker history, this makes for a pair of performance shoes with an equal dose of grounded overtones and energetic hits coursing alongside it.

The Jordan Luka .77 “Space Navigator” is expected to release on November 1st, already listed on select retailer calendars. Be ready for a $105 retail price upon arrival.
