The New Balance 1000 Experiments With A Shining “White/Navy” Colorway

The New Balance 1000 is now in interesting territory. It’s not as well-established or widely adopted among the general populace as its peers in the New Balance 1906R or New Balance 9060 are. Conversely, the New Balance 204L, New Balance 2010, and New Balance 2000 all outrank it in terms of novelty. At least on our end, the silhouette still as as strong of a retro style than any of the aforementioned, but clearly the Boston brand is taking some creative risks in allowing the model to gain its own foothold.

Take the New Balance 1000 “White/Navy” as an example of that. While the metallics and neutral shades that run rampant within the NB catalog have had their time in the sun with the 1000, now more stark coloring dawns. More intriguing than the navy/white/black split executed here is the way it is, delivered in attention-grabbing color-blocking in which pure white takes up the entire lower half, navy coats the foot entrance, and black overcomes the collar. It’s obviously possible this is a simple one-off, but perhaps this is an aesthetic that the model can rely on as it seeks to further its retro run.

No concrete date for the New Balance 1000 “White/Navy” has surfaced yet, but we’re projecting a drop before 2025 is out. Be ready for a $150 MSRP upon arrival.
