Andrew Rizzo We can’t predict the future, but there’s a good chance the New Balance 2000 could succeed the New Balance 9060 as the brand’s go-to chunky lifestyle sneaker. The model has gotten off to a strong start so far — its early general release colorways have performed well at retail, and it’s already checked off a major collaboration courtesy of Aminé.
For our purposes, November 26th marks another milestone in the 2000’s ascent. Three colorways are on the way — “Blue Ice,” “Dark Grey,” and, most notably, a quintessential “Triple Black.” Each pair embraces a monochrome palette, save for the “Blue Ice,” which introduces light grey accents to offset its pastel-dominant look.
As it stands, the biggest hurdle the 2000 silhouette faces on its path to mainstream popularity might come from within. It’s one of three major new lifestyle models to debut in 2025, joined by the New Balance 2010 and New Balance 204L. While all three sneakers are distinct in construction and purpose, casual, mainstream-leaning consumers might find themselves choosing between them.
The upcoming New Balance 2000s are being billed as Foot Locker exclusives, though it appears Finish Line will also stock pairs. The trio releases November 26th, 2025, each priced at $170 USD.
