LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.05 Gets A “Metallic” Colorway

Wanna hear something crazy? LaMelo Ball played a total of zero games in the PUMA MB.04. Nada. Zilch. That’s not completely unheard of when it comes to signature athletes, but it is rare, and not exactly a great look for PUMA Hoops when one of its marquee players isn’t a fan of a sneaker designed specifically for him.

The good news is that PUMA has moved on to the MB.05 era, and LaMelo is actually wearing the model to start the 2025-26 NBA season. With a few releases already under its belt, including an upcoming collab with Rick and Morty, the PUMA MB.05 is continuing its run with a “Metallic” colorway releasing later this year. A reflective toe box brings some subtle flair, but overall these are far more understated than what we’re used to seeing from LaMelo Ball’s line — which is saying something, given the model’s quirks like the TPU wings logo over the tongue and frayed edges throughout. The left shoe breaks up the monochrome colorway with lime green accents, while the right features pops of orange.

The PUMA MB.05 “Metallic” releases December 12th, 2025 via PUMA and select retailers for $130 USD. See official images below if you’re considering copping.
