Teddy Santis Pours Up “Dark Ice Wine” On The New Balance 992 Made In USA

A return to the fan favorite as the FW capsule nears its close.

Teddy Santis Pours Up “Dark Ice Wine” On The New Balance 992 Made In USA

It’s now been some months since the New Balance 992 has trickled back into the foreground, first teed up for a bring-back effort by Joe Freshgoods and his “Aged Well” five-year anniversary collaboration. Since then, mainline looks have been flanked by go-arounds for some of the brand’s most notable collaborators, from Ronnie Fieg and KITH to Action Bronson.

Teddy Santis’ Aime Leon Dore has yet to touch the silhouette in this revitalized push, but the founder hasn’t shied away from it in his role as the steward of the Made in USA seasonal offerings. With “Sweet Caramel” and “Marsh Green” editions dotting the Spring/Summer collection earlier in the year, the New Balance 992 now enters the Fall/Winter mix with a “Dark Ice Wine” edition, highlighted by titular tones across suede mmudguards and lace stays betfore pocked overlays take things in a more delicate direction. Orange branding hits on the sidewalls really set this pair off in terms of contrast, culminating with split midfoot shank underfoot. Stable off-white, black, and grey, already frequent inclusions in the NB catalog, round things out.

The New Balance 992 Made in USA “Dark Ice Wine” drops on November 20th, retailing for $200.
