The Michigan State Spartans were lucky enough to receive their own player-only issue of the twenty-third model, wearing the all-green pair for the Champions Classic game on the night of November 18th.
While Michigan State may not have any direct ties to the all-time leading scorer, he and Nike have lent their footwear to the basketball program on several occasions. This Nike LeBron 23 PE comes dressed in an appropriate monochromatic Spartan green, with the only hit arriving via the gold at the fore-foot Swoosh. Look familiar? Green and gold is part of the LeBron’s historical fabric as he first burst onto the basketball radar through his insane highlights from SVSM, which is why the response to the upcoming Nike LeBron 23 “From This Point Forward” has been so strong.
LeBron, of course, went directly to the pro ranks in 2003, and the rest is history–literally.
