Andrew Rizzo The Air Jordan 7 hasn’t really been a part of Jordan Brand’s planning in recent years, but fans can at least take solace in the fact that the model will likely receive an anniversary-year push in 2027, similar to what we saw with the 5s this year and what we will be getting from the AJ6 in 2026. In the meantime, the Jordan MVP 92 delivers many of the same AJ7 hallmarks in a new low-top cut.
The MVP 92 (formerly called the Jordan 7 RM) debuted in Fall 2025 as a low-top takedown of the AJ7, the sneaker Michael Jordan wore during his first MVP year. Jordan Brand actually released a largely forgettable low-top version of the Jordan 7 in the late 2010s, but the MVP 92 differs in several ways, most notably through its quarter netting and the absence of an inner nylon bootie.
Behind an upcoming “Black/Infrared” colorway is this newly uncovered “Cool Grey” hairy-suede option for Spring 2026. The shaggy material covers the outermost panels, while Wolf Grey leather and mesh form the layer beneath. The midsole incorporates Iced Carmine and Psychic Blue accents, with Psychic Blue also appearing on the inner tongue and Nike Air branding on the heel.
