Devin Booker Debuts The Nike Book 2 “Detroit Stompers”

Branching to Chapter Two.

Devin Booker Debuts The Nike Book 2 “Detroit Stompers”

So far, turning the page has paid dividends for the Phoenix Suns, quickly distancing from a miasmic era surrounding their “Big 3” for a more straightforward, dare we say “ethical” build around Devin Booker that currently has them squarely in the playoff picture. For the Kentucky product specifically, he and the Swoosh are banking on continued success as they turn a new leaf, as the market debut of the Nike Book 2 looms for January.

With the model as whole already worn on-court and previewed to the media in two phoenix (and Phoenix) style arrangements, the “Rising” and a titular adaptation of that rebirth story, the Nike Book 2 trots on with a game-worn “Detroit Stompers.” Of course, those who bought into the narrative of Book’s inaugural signature will recall that motif dotting the Book 1, paying homage to Devin’s hometown team with a heel counter adaptation of the big cat logo. Things veer a bit more simplistic with the shoe at hand, focusing its energy on a suede build, overall black-on-black palette, and a semi-iridescent Swoosh with glossy finishes.

On a strategic level, it’s unclear whether this will be a PE-to-public drop, something that Booker and Beaverton normalized with plenty of looks that he first revealed by tying ’em up on the hardwood. Zooming out, however, this does seem to be a confirmation that the vast array of player exclusives we grew accustomed to spotting on foot will continue into this second chapter. We’ll keep you updated with any additional info regarding this shoe’s potential launch via this article and our Sneaker Release Dates page.
