Nike Caters To Ultramarathon Runners With The Nike ACG Zegama

If news of the Nike ACG Ultrafly didn’t confirm it already, the revitalization of the trail running category in Beaverton is fully underway. Now bolstering their roster of super shoes geared for stiff climates and trails comes the Nike ACG Zegama, tabbed to hit the market come Summer 2026.

In terms of cushioning, the ACG Zegama compares favorably to mainline runners Nike is currently championing; ZoomX and Cushlon 3.0 combine for a package that delivers 85 percent energy return on top of its comfort bona fides. A forefoot rock plate and Vibram Megagrip outsole deliver on the “all conditions” promise in the title, combining genuine hardiness with the “super shoe” package explored in more conventional silhouettes. A built-in fabric gaiter and flexible uppers only add to that purpose. As a nod to the overall arc of Nike’s trail running legacy, the coordinates of Mt. Hood sit alternating on the rear midsoles.

This continues something of a reorientation within the Nike ACG label that injects the same athlete-testing and focus on sport seen elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella into the sub-label. It’s a product of the budding ACG Trail Running Department, an innovation platform and genuine team of hyperathletes. Of the new model, Caleb Olsen shared, “The ACG Zegama has the same comfort and stability as its predecessor, which I already loved as a daily trainer, and adds more responsiveness that makes it really fun to race in. It’s a sturdy shoe that’s a great option for more technical races, when I’m moving through rocky terrain and need my feet to be comfortable and cushioned all day.”

Again, the Nike ACG Zegama is expected to hit the public come Summer 2026. Retail pricing is currently unconfirmed.
