Nike Dips Into Distressed Aesthetics With The Air Force 1 Low “Boucle”

Look a bit familiar?

Nike Dips Into Distressed Aesthetics With The Air Force 1 Low “Boucle”

What’s Nike’s trendiest sneaker? The answer to that question will likely depend on what you see as the dominant wave in footwear, but what’s less up for debate is the silhouette that Beaverton is most willing to push into passing aesthetics. Both the Nike Air Force 1 Low and Nike Dunk Low stand at the ready for wild experimentation and to meet consumer demands, something we see in the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Boucle” at hand.

Though the “Boucle” moniker refers to a matted yarn material frequently used in upholstery, it doesn’t appear to be the primary cue for this colorway, instead opting for a distressed canvas foundation. Further tinkering comes with a beaded overhaul of the Swoosh, opting simply for an outline of the iconic brand rather than a dedicated panel. The rosy tonality used there continues into fuzzy fabric laces and the Nike Air brand at the heel, while a more conventional touch arrives with the inky speckled midsole that rounds out this shoe.

Various retailers have the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Boucle” listed for a December 12th release, likely carrying a $130 retail price. Catch detailed shots below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for more details as they surface.
