The adidas Adistar Control 5 Dives Into 2026 In “Navy Blue”

The runners of yesterday are the lifestyle hits of today, and that statement holds true no matter where you look in the sneaker world. It’s become clear that the Adistar running line is a major focus for adidas moving forward, evidenced by Pharrell’s Adistar Jellyfish and inline silhouettes like the XLG 2.0, HRMY, and Control 5, the last of which has emerged in a “Navy Blue” colorway for Spring 2026.

Originally released in 2008, the Adistar Control 5 was one of its era’s premier stability-focused running shoes, equipped with Adiprene+ cushioning and adidas’ patented Torsion system for support. Eighteen years later, the model returns with a different purpose, not to tear up training mileage, but to chew up sidewalks as a lifestyle staple. This “Navy Blue” colorway prioritizes wearability, opting for a clean monochrome finish accented by subtly glossy leather paneling around the collar for just the right amount of shine.

The adidas Adistar Control 5 “Navy Blue” drops in Spring 2026 here in the States, while Europe will get pairs this December. Expect a $120 retail price if you’re planning to cop.
