Air Jordan 10 “Sacramento” Releasing On December 5th, 2026

Could a larger "City Pack" retro be in the works?

Air Jordan 10 “Sacramento” Releasing On December 5th, 2026

Update: Originally broadly circled for a Holiday 2026 drop, the Air Jordan 10 “Sacramento” is now queued up to drop on December 5th.

Michael Jordan was a minor league baseball player when the Air Jordan 10 hit shelves in 1994. As a result, much like with the Jordan 9 before it, Tinker Hatfield and the design team were tasked with creating a basketball shoe that celebrated its namesake without relying on new on-court achievements to market it.

Jordan would eventually return to basketball and wear his tenth signature model, spurred in part by Scottie Pippen famously pointing to the Jumpman on the sole of the Air Jordan 10 as a not-so-subtle message encouraging him to come back. The outsole’s list of MJ’s career accomplishments was one way Nike attempted to encapsulate his greatness through design. Another came through the storytelling baked into the colorways.

In 1995, Nike released a Jordan 10 “City Pack” featuring styles inspired by some of MJ’s fiercest rivals: the New York Knicks, Seattle SuperSonics, Orlando Magic, and Sacramento Kings, along with a Bulls-themed pair that Jordan would eventually lace up after proclaiming “I’m back.” The Sacramento pair stood out as the only version featuring a black leather upper instead of white, paired with regal purple accents on the lining and outsole. White and purple PE versions also exist, including one worn during the 1995–96 season by former Rookie of the Year Mitch Richmond, complete with his jersey number stitched on.

Three decades later, we’re learning that the Jordan 10 “Sacramento” is poised to return Holiday 2026 (per zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files). This marks the first-ever retro of the colorway, making it one of the longest initial-release-to-retro gaps you’ll see. Jordan Brand did release another Jordan 10 “City Pack” in 2016, although those styles had little in common with the original 1995 run. No images of the upcoming retro have surfaced yet, but early indications point toward a true OG-style build in both shape and color.

The Air Jordan 10 “Sacramento” is scheduled for Holiday 2026, meaning sometime between next October and December. See detailed images of the 1995 pair below and keep our Jordan Release Dates page bookmarked for the latest updates.
