The New York Knicks punched their ticket to the NBA Cup Final on Saturday, now poised to take on the giant-killing San Antonio Spurs for the ultimate (regular season) prize. While the Orlando Magic were felled in the process, still their effort wasn’t for naught on the footwear front, as Paolo Banchero pulled out a fresh PE of the Air Jordan 40.
Dubbed the “Monstero Banchero,” the pair was a suitable choice for the Las Vegas showcase, clearly standing apart from any of the uniforms on the floor and marking a real shift away from the regal atmosphere that the Air Jordan 40 has worn in mainline applications. Branching webs of adjacent geen shades cut across the entire upper before a yellow/green heel tab breaks away from those comprehensive viridescent tones. The real point of intrigue is the tongue, where a monstrous custom emblem stamps the shoe’s name.
The Air Jordan 40 “Monstero Banchero” will remain exclusive to Paolo’s closet, but it’s still one to behold even from afar. Catch in-action shots included below.
