Andrew Rizzo In case you missed it, Nike is set to release an all-black leather Air Max 95 that people close to the brand are calling one of the highest-quality Nike sneakers in quite some time, a promising sign for 110 loyalists and anyone who values wearability over flash and hype. But that’s not all. Dropping alongside it is an identical black leather take on the Air Max DN8, shown here via official images.
It’s clear that Nike is using this release to give the Air Max DN8 a boost by pairing it with a far more coveted silhouette. The DN8 hasn’t generated much buzz since debuting earlier this year, but understated as it may be, this execution is hard to ignore. In one word, these things are pure class. Premium black leather covers the entire upper, complete with perforations placed within the model’s curved cutouts. Rope laces reinforce a dressed-up vibe, while the midsole and all eight Dynamic Air chambers are fully blacked out to match.
The Air Max DN8 “Black Leather” releases via Nike SNKRS on December 27th for $210 USD, ten dollars more than the model’s standard price. As noted, a matching black leather Air Max 95 will also be available on the same day. See official images below if you are considering picking up a pair.
