Andrew Rizzo While Kobe, LeBron, and Ja Morant get Air Force 1 styles, Devin Booker has been steadfast in making the Nike Blazer Low his go-to canvas for signature lifestyle releases. Following a recent duo featuring the Detroit Tigers’ two primary team colors in honor of his home state, we’ve uncovered another set that takes things a step further.
Stealing the show is a bold style featuring blue and orange tiger stripes throughout, punctuated by orange-on-blue “Book” text on the backtab and the Detroit Tigers’ iconic Old English logo on the lateral side. The accompanying pair is far more restrained, rendered in Pearl Grey to mirror the baseball club’s road uniforms.
As for the tooling, Booker’s signature Blazer style employs an exposed foam tongue and diagonal lacing inspired by mitts, a clear nod to both baseball gloves as well as the state of Michigan itself. A subtle brogue-style pattern is etched into the welting just above the sole, while a mini Swoosh appears on the lateral side of the toe cap. Underfoot, a section of the herringbone tread is hollowed out to make space for a Nike stamp.
Booker is a well-documented baseball fan and an active supporter of his hometown squad. He threw out the first pitch during a game at Comerica Park last year wearing a pair of custom Nike Book 1 cleats, which he also gifted to members of the team.
