The breadth of Jordan Brand has long expanded past Mike’s on-court wear, but it doesn’t feel like a stretch to say that the imprint is more form-radical than ever before. The Air Jordan Mule, while perhaps not the most high-profile of that cadre, is proof in and of itself, taking to formalwear concepts while still heralding the Jumpman legacy.

Still working through its initial year on the shelves, the Air Jordan Mule has kept to a rather simplistic “default” look to date, pushing monochromatic aesthetics wholeheartedly (with the exception of the trendy “Cow Print” that helped kick off that run). It’s not too radical of a break, but outfitting the pair at hand with white leather up top and a chunky black platform underneath nonetheless marks an advancement, finished with a silver bangle across the strap.
