The Nike GT Cut 1 Gets In On The “Tri-State” Festivities With Dylan Harper PE

The Nike Zoom GT Cut 1 is in an unorthodox spot. The herald of the larger “Greater Than” family and one that indicated the hooper-beloved status said lineage would soon capture, an expedited bring-back effort means that the shoe now shares the shelves with its direct successors. Though occupying space alongside the impending GT Cut 4 is an uncommon situation in general, demand has still been there for the OG, something we’re again visiting as the Nike Zoom GT Cut 1 “Tri-State” comes to the surface.

To briefly backtrack, in-hand shots of the Nike Ja 3 “At Dawn” tipped off an unexpected detail, as a triangular emblem hinted at odes to the “NY/NJ/CT” metro area, with Morant’s shoe specifically calling out Connecticut’s 860 area code.

Even if the mainline GT Cut 1 is the choice of silhouette, there’s still a player focus: the San Antonio Spurs’ Dylan Harper first debuted the “D” logo seen on the heel in Summer League. Penning one to the rookie phenom is fitting given his cross-state ties; the New Jersey native was a staple in the New York AAU circuit, perhaps a hint towards this series’ mission statement overall. Again, Harper and the Nike design team cook up a genuinely can’t-miss colorway, from the speckled blue midsole detailing to the iridescent logo hits to the hi-vis neon shades that tint this entire shoe.

At the time of publication, the Nike GT Cut 1 “Dylan Harper” / “Tri-State” doesn’t carry a concrete release date. Once released, don’t be shocked if we see a slight premium on the silo’s usual $190 sticker price.
