Original article published December 24th, 2025:

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG has become the crown jewel of Jordan Brand’s recent Chinese New Year collections, which makes sense given that the silhouette is typically reserved for special colorways, collaborations, and limited editions. The latest entry for Spring 2026 continues that trend, arriving in full family sizes and shown here for the first time in toddler form.

While 2026 marks the Year of the Horse, the animal reference is intentionally understated. Instead of dominating the design, it appears through faux pony hair Swooshes on both sides. The true focal point is the intricate multicolor floral embroidery across the toe box, set against a Sail canvas upper treated with subtle Football Grey speckling. Additional floral details land on the tongue, while Chinese characters appear on the insoles. Wings logo embroidery outlines the backtab, and a Chocolate brown outsole finishes the look underfoot.

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chinese New Year” is scheduled to release in January 2026 in full family sizing. We’ll update our coverage once images of the adult pairs surface.
