However, in recent years, designers from brands across the landscape have showcased more a deft touch in combining archival designs, from the breakout success of the New Balance 1906R (easy to forget it wears the 860’s sole unit) or future-forward silhouettes like the adidas Megaride F50.
With maximalist retro design cresting anew, the Three Stripes has brought back Megaride cushioning back to the fore, chiefly as a (literal) platform to retrofit its soccer icons for use outside of the pitch.
