Kobe 9 EM “Stitches” Nike Book 2, And This Week’s Best Releases

A heavy week for the Swoosh.

Kobe 9 EM “Stitches” Nike Book 2, And This Week’s Best Releases

We made it. The ink is very nearly dry on 2025, and while the release calendar will afford us a little time to catch our breath, taking a full week off is out of the question.

What that tangibly means is that there’s only a few days really worth watching in the next few, but if you come into any holiday cash, several brands are ensuring they’re in the running. The start of the new year functions much like the start of any month in that regard, as a slew of general release fare is on queue, from a deep Nike Basketball roster, to a step in the Liberty London x adidas relationship, to a new NIGO Air Force 3 capsule. Outside of 1/1, some weighty fare in the Devin Booker signature line touches down, as the Nike Book 1 “Torched” closes a page before the Book 2 “Rising” opens a new one days later.

Scroll ahead for photo breakdowns of everything we’re watching in the coming days, including retail pricing and drop dates. Below each day’s gallery, you’ll find hyperlinks leading back to our original coverage of each and every pair; you can find direct pick-up links and detailed analysis within each article. We’ll aim to keep this Weekly Releases post updated with any late-breaking additions, but to totally ensure nothing slips through the cracks, keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates and Jordan Releases 2026 landing pages.

December 30th begins a quick storytelling succession, as the Nike Book 1 “Torched” marks the final colorway of Devin’s first signature to hit the shelves.

January 1st is the money day, beginning with the Nike Kobe 9 EM Stitches, a nod to Bryant clawing back from injury with a smattering of purple tones. From there, the NIGO Air Force 3 “Varsity Jacket” earns yet another chapter, continuing to lean on throwback Americana aesthetics. The Jordan 3 “We Outside” celebrates both play and ACG design language. Two A-list Swoosh’s female hoopers each drop off duos: the Nike Sabrina 3 Iron Grey and Sabrina 3 “Walnut,” and the Nike A’One Smokey Mauve and Nike A’One Pearls. In a brief running divergence, the Nike Vomero Plus “Ekiden” touches down, and on the Three Stripes’ end, a new Liberty London Samba comes available. Closing on the hardwood, the Ja 3 “Astronaut” and Giannis Freak 7 “Deception” round out the Swoosh’s big day.

January 2 sees the Phoenix story hit its climax, as the Nike Book 2 “Rising” revives Devin’s signature line with its second chapter. The defending league MVP also drops his next shoe, the Converse SHAI 001 “Clean Slate”.
