Andrew Rizzo Beaverton, we have takeoff. Jordan Brand is paying homage to its now-defunct fan program Flight Club with a special Air Jordan 4 releasing in January 2026, shown here via official images ahead of its impending launch.
Long before Niketalk, Sneaker News, and other sneaker media sites came into existence, Nike offered Jordan fans a direct line to the brand through the Jordan Flight Club program. Running from the late ’80s into the early ’90s, Flight Club delivered exclusive newsletters, behind-the-scenes content, and even physical gear like tees, posters, and the occasional autographed photo for lucky members. Choosing the Air Jordan 4 as the canvas for this tribute is no coincidence. The first issue of the Flight Club newsletter dropped in 1989, the same year the Air Jordan 4 debuted, and featured Michael Jordan mid-Jumpman dunk in the original “Fire Red” colorway.
As noted previously, the “Flight Club” 4s borrow some cues from the popular “Military Black,” built around a Sail leather upper with black accents throughout the midsole and heel. The backtab features black-on-black Nike Air branding with subtle red edging, while the toe cap arrives in grey suede with layered stitching that ripples across the panel. Flight Club branding appears on the tongue, while an X-ray-style graphic decorates the insoles, matching the shoebox artwork. Three sets of laces are included: black, yellow, and pink.
