First Look At The Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic”

We’ve officially turned the page from Jordan Brand’s 40th anniversary to their 41st. While it may be easier to drum up excitement for that round number, the Jumpman’s gaze remains fixed on paying homage to its deep, deep archives. Despite dotting the calendar with plenty of OG-facing editions like the “Grape” or “Black Metallic Reimagined” in ’25, devotees of the AJ5 will still have plenty to look forward to in ’26, including the Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic.”

The latest in a string of Y2K-era bring-backs that includes the Jordan 9 “Flint Grey” and Jordan 8 “Chrome,” the 2000 classic returns with its combo of chrome accents and snowy overtones, replete with true-to-form touches like the icy traction beneath and the strip of black rubber at the very front. As we initially noted as news of this pair first broke, the branding notes bring some genuine intrigue, as “Nike Air” dots the heel and the “23” text on the heel counter changes form from what fans saw in 2000, tooled to match the slender typeface that defined original Air Jordan 5 pairs. In keeping with the latter point, the updated shape that’s paced recent Retros is again in focus with this version.

The Air Jordan 5 “White/Metallic Silver” is currently expected to release on April 25th, 2026, in full family sizing. Catch first-look shots included below to get the scope of some of the “new” tweaks, and keep our 2026 Jordan Release Dates page within reach for further updates.
