In a female-focused section of their SNKRS Showcase series, Nike tipped off that the Air Superfly would be a shoe we’d see plenty of in 2025, leveraging their sponsorship of Sha’carri Richardson to spotlight the erstwhile track silhouette. In the time since, they’ve made good on that promise, bolstering the already trendy slim sole composition of the shoe with fashion-forward revamps like the “Animal Print” or “Pony Hair” packs that surfaced in Q4.
As the Superfly looks to its second year back in rotation, it’s returning to square one in some regards and starting a new chapter in others. Enter the Nike Air Superfly Moc, a sneaker that’s precisely what it says on the tin, swapping out a traditional lace system for slip-on hardware ensured by a full-length nylon sock composition.

To begin this reinvention, the Superfly Moc turns back the clock for the original “Metallic Silver/Black” colorway that helped front the retro effort in the first place, a fitting choice given how clearly Y2K trends are in focus for this shoe. Accompanying that traditional style is a shift towards the lifestyle lane, with a black suede pair anchored by an off-white platform below.
The Nike Air Superfly Moc in “Metallic Silver” is queued up to release via SNKRS US on January 13th, dropping in women’s sizing for $105. A release date for the black suede hasn’t been announced just yet. Catch official images below while we await that launch.
