The reunion of Nike and sneaker design legend Frank Cooke continues to deliver a breath of fresh air for the Beaverton brand, bringing both brand new models a la the GT Future and refreshed icons that feel right at home on the streets. Here we have a prime example of the latter: a pink patent leather Air Force 1 teased by the designer via his Instagram account.
We’re immediately reminded of Nike’s run of patent leather Air Force 1s from the early 2000s, which the company embraced as a not-so-subtle response to the coinciding rise of the Bape Sta. The same can be said about Lil Yachty’s Air Force 1 “Lucky Green” from May 2025, a sneaker that charted highly on Sneaker of the Year lists and helped reinforce the idea that there’s real success to be found in this type of nostalgia.
The pair shared by Cooke is made to break necks in vibrant bubblegum pink, with that hue spanning the upper, midsole, and a semi-translucent outsole. The Swoosh, backtab, and tongue tag, meanwhile, all appear in a royal blue/dark purple shade. Patta co-founder Edson Sabajo shared a yellow and green patent leather Air Force 1 back in November of last year, suggesting a larger “Patent Pack” is in the works.
The Air Force 1 “Pink Patent” doesn’t have a release date yet, but a Spring/Summer 2026 arrival feels likely. We’ll update our coverage as soon as official images come to light.
