Nike Adds Heart-Shaped Heels To The Air Max 90 “Valentine’s Day”

Love is officially in the air for Nike, building out a formidable group of romantic kicks as we careen towards the mid-February occasion. While there’s been plenty of creative juice to go around in embracing that, a run of three Air Force 1 colorways with suede bodies and embossed mini hearts has arguably been the heartbeat of what’s on tap.

An equally historic design is now taking to that motif, as the Nike Air Max 90 “Valentine’s Day” comes to light. You’ll immediately spot the similarities in the material makeup on tap, as the anatomic touch runs unfettered across the full profile, only stopping short of the ridged patches down the laces, embedded into mudguard, and splitting the sole. However, the unique composition that the NIke Air Max 90 leads to what might be the most inventive inclusion: a shift away from the guitar pick shape seen on usual AM90s into a heart patch at the very rear.

The Nike Air Max 90 “Valentine’s Day” is set to drop in two colorways on January 30th, retailing for $145. Expect a red colorway to accompany the black one pictured here.
