Andrew Rizzo The Air Jordan 13 will see its most notable year in recent memory in 2026 with the return of two original colorways. The “Flint” 13s, arguably the best and most recognizable of the model’s original run, are on the docket for April, but the resurgence begins a month earlier with another retro of the Air Jordan 13 “Chicago” aka “True Red,” last seen in 2017.
The “Chicago” 13s feature a white leather upper and tongue, True Red suede around the heel and lower sides, and a True Red/Black midsole. Seasoned collectors might notice that the red color is a touch brighter here than on previous retros. The sneaker has released a total of four times since its inception, first in 1998, again in 2010 and 2017, and now in 2026. The Air Jordan 13 is widely regarded as one of the most comfortable retro models in the Air Jordan lineage and features a design inspired by MJ’s “Black Cat” persona, complete with a holographic eye on the collar and a paw-shaped outsole.
While some recent Jordans like the “Black Cat” 4s and “Gamma” 11s have been mass produced, others have been released in far more limited quantities. The stock for the “Chicago” 13s remains to be seen, but given 13s are more niche than some of Jordan Brand’s go-to cash cows, the latter seems more likely.
The Air Jordan 13 “Chicago” releases March 13th, 2026 through the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers. Adult and grade school sizes will be available for $210 and $160, respectively.
