Andrew Rizzo It’s now been almost two years since the CLOT x adidas era began, with each new season bringing a refreshed assortment of staple silhouettes reimagined at the confluence of Western and Eastern fashion. Edison Chen was kind enough to send over an upcoming ripple-soled Superstar that’s arguably one of the partnership’s strongest yet – a Wild Brown leather style that leans fully into the dressed-up hardware changes.
This Superstar style is what kicked off the modern CLOT x adidas line at the top of 2024, releasing in a white and black colorway built on the same ripple sole unit. Several different looks have dropped in the time since, including a black pair for Lunar New Year and a three-way “Camo” collab with Bape. What makes this Wild Brown take especially compelling is how it complements the shoe’s refined, dressy elements, namely its leather welting and ripple sole. Polished Wild Brown leather covers the entire upper, including a re-created shell toe, while wingtip-inspired detailing appears around the backtab and stripes. Brown laces featuring Crystal Sand stitching are included, as are multiple sets of brown leather tassels you can style as you wish.
