Nike Leaks A First Look At The Air Max 1000 “Multi-Color”

Nike Leaks A First Look At The Air Max 1000 “Multi-Color”

Since its debut in late 2024, the 3D-printed Air Max 1000 has become one of the faces of Nike’s future-forward footwear endeavors. Leveraging the power of Zellerfeld, the German 3D-printing tech company, Nike reimagined the iconic Air Max 1 for the future through an evolutionary design and the state-of-the-art manufacturing.

Thus far, all of the Air Max 1000 styles that hit retail were monochromatic. Black, Oat, Red, and Royal Blue are some of the options that were presented to the market, with the visible Air unit at the heel–the only non-3D-printed component of the sneaker–being the only break in color. For 2026, Zellerfeld and Nike are stepping forward with the first-ever 3D-printed multi-color sneaker.

This early sneak peek at the Air Max 1000 “Multi-color” reveals a two-toned blocking, unlocking new possibilities of 3D-printed footwear. Typically, 3D-printed items are uniform in color; adding new shades into the mix requires enhanced logistics and engineering. Based on the official leaked images by Nike, this AM1000 features a signature lilac purple at the lower half, spanning the mudguard and bleeding down onto the sole bottoms. The upper contrasts in a flat black.

The Air Max 1000 “Multi-color” is due out in 2026; firm release details will be shared soon.
