The best new model to be born out of Nike’s concentrated Air Max Day festivities is the Air Max 270, a casual silhouette that debuted in 2018. Combining design elements of the Air Max 93, Nike blended modern design style with a newly engineered Air bag to create what many consider to be one of the best Nike lifestyle sneakers of the last decade.
In 2026, the Air Max 270 returns as the Air Max 270 Premium, but the update is not in just the name. This modified version of the 270 now features a visible Zoom Air unit at the forefoot, displaying a cushioning set-up akin to Nike’s top-shelf running models such as the AlphaFly 3. The shape of the model stays nearly true to the 2018 model, but with a molded toe-cap, a streamlined heel construction, and a metallic chrome tab with the 270 logo hit.
Just like in 2018, Nike is unleashing the new model in the “Dusty Cactus” white/black/teal color combination that was inspired by the Air Max 93. There are several colorways for men, women, and grade school ready to launch on February 6th and throughout 2026. The adult pairs will retail for $180, whereas the grade school edition clocks in at $152.
A detailed look at the launch “Dusty Cactus” edition is just below, followed by a full preview of upcoming mens, womens, and GS styles.
