The height of “panda”-monium are well in the rear view, as the reign of the two-tone Dunk Low has been supplanted by more recent shifts towards Y2K footwear. However, Nike’s love for the simplistic colorway is still intact, if a bit subsided, evidenced by a run of special edition *literal* Panda pairs that trickled out last year.

If the script for the “Panda” look was timeless, go-with-anything style, Beaverton is now testing that theory in the field of competition. Two cleated Air Jordan 1 “Panda” pairs have now trickled out into the catalog, intent on bringing the Jumpman’s embrace onto the diamond. We’ll spare you a full dissection of the aesthetics here (we’re sure you know what the moniker here entails), but we will note that these come with the “MCS” traction platform consistent with Jordan Brand’s previous baseball efforts.
