Further, the brand clarifies release info; a “pre-launch” via KINGSPIDER.co is set for February 27th, before a global launch takes place on March 3rd, dropping via CONFIRMED, the same KINGSPIDER site, and select retailers. Tapping into the younger generation is crucial to achieving earnest cultural cachet. All-Star Weekend has put that front and center for the Three Stripes, as the Hellstar AE2 showcases their willingness to leverage their starriest talents alongside their newfound partner, which has already carved out a major slice of the hip-hop streetwear market.
On an even more direct level, Young Thug’s SP5DER has accomplished the same, no doubt part of the calculation as adidas pulled the imprint into their orbit toward the end of 2025. Juxtaposing the modern rap-influenced brand against the Superstar, a silhouette with plenty of history in the genre, was only a natural play (though, truthfully, adi has been plenty willing to pull out the Superstar regardless of the narrative justification).
That partnership is only getting deeper as we settle into 2026, as two new SP5DER x adidas Superstar colorways come to light. Much of what we first saw on the initial olive pair remains: Three Stripes branding gets pushed further down the shoe, patent leather materials are in heavy supply, and, as always, there’s much co-branding at work across these two profiles. Almost akin to Pharrell’s adidas Superstar ‘92, the tongue keeps its puffy overhaul, widening the shoe as a whole and becoming especially visible from the heel view. A fitting embossed web texture paces throughout. Icy soles finish out either colorway, here delivered in a devilish red/black and a sleek black/silver.
