Matt Varga In 2025, the Whitaker Group announced a new branch in their family in the only way fitting: with a sneaker collaboration. Making good on its tinted name, the newly-minted imprint turned the New Balance 990v4 over in all-green suede, staking the women’s storefront as an integral part in the collab-heavy cadence that all of its siblings tend toward.
As if to redouble that presence, JAIDE now joins what’s seemingly an umbrella-wide collection for the Whitaker Group and the Nike V5 RNR While previously unearthed pairs from A Ma Manière, APB, and Social Status were still plenty digestible in how they brought each individual store’s character to the shoe, JAIDE’s might be the most natural fit, as the V5 has to this point served as a women-led silhouette in the Swoosh’s retro runner catalog.
As for the shoes themselves, JAIDE cements its stranglehold over pale green, delivering much the same shade from the aforementioned New Balance onto a subtle, flooded concept here. Supporting that shoe is a rosier counterpart that mixes up off-whites and pinks, particularly effective in its split color blocking by donning the leather stripes at the forefoot and creating a full-length contrast note underfoot.
