Nearly a year after first reports surfaced of its long-awaited return, the Nike KD 6 “Night Vision” is finally coming into focus. First confirmed as part of Kevin Durant’s debut Retro cycle, the 2014 release is now set to make its return in Summer 2026, arriving in both adult and grade school sizing. With official images now emerging, the comeback of one of the KD 6’s most memorable later-stage colorways is closing in on reality.
The “Night Vision” colorway was one of the last few releases before the transition into the KD 7 era in the Summer of 2014. Its concept drew inspiration from low-visibility goggles and special ops gear, translating that theme into a striking on-court look. The design of the 2026 edition, much like the previous retro drops, remains true to its roots. A stealthy black upper reflects the darkness of nighttime recon, while vivid green accents mimic the illuminated visuals seen through night vision lenses. Hits of Bright Mango at the Air unit add contrast, while the signature static-like pattern across the forefoot Swoosh and KD heel logo returns intact.
With other KD 6 classics like “Peanut Butter and Jelly” and “NOLA Gumbo” already dropping to strong response, Nike Basketball’s renewed focus on Durant’s early signature catalog alongside the debut of the Nike KD 19.
