The Nike Air Foamposite “Gym Red” Returns A Decade Later

Though it may make some of us long-time ‘heads feel ancient, the 2010s are now squarely a retro era. Nike, in particular, has realized that quicker than most; several of the most notable storylines from the past few years have mined the last decade, with the Foamposite especially a leader on that front; the return of the infamous “Galaxy” Foamposite pre-empts another grail coming this year in the “Tianjin 2.0.”

We’ll reserve judgment on whether it’ll command the same attention, but the Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Gym Red” drops off another first-time retro for the storied 2015 pair. For those who may not have seen the initial release, the original “Gym Red” Foams came at the absolute peak of “Red October” hype.

That craze propelled similarly reddened looks for the Nike Dunk High and Air Cruz to become serious commodities for their sheer proximity to Mr. West’s limited edition. Though the Foamposite at hand doesn’t carry the same textural notes as those aforementioned silhouettes, the bloodied arrangement still rose on that tide nonetheless. 2026’s pair reprises it beat-for-beat, offering a true second chance to those who struck out at the time or an initial education for those who weren’t in session.

The Nike Air Foamposite OnePro”Gym Red” is expected to launch on May 29th. A $240 retail price is confirmed for this retro drop.
