Andrew Rizzo With Milwaukee’s city-wide 414 Day right around the corner, adidas is once again throwing up the bat-signal and tapping local community staple Eric “Shake” James for a celebratory sneaker collab, this time centered on the ubiquitous adidas Samba. There’s a new twist this time around: purchasing the sneaker also scores you complimentary tickets to Summerfest 2026, a nine-day music festival featuring over 600 artists.
The sneaker is inspired yet still surprisingly wearable. The upper pulls from a map of Milwaukee and its surrounding neighborhoods, anchored by a cream base that nods the city’s “Cream City” nickname. Black stripes, red contrast stitching, and a classic gum sole flush out the main elements, complemented by a viewfinder motif on the tongue and a red pull tab around the heel.
The project is a three-way collaboration between Shake James’ boutique SNEEX, adidas, and Summerfest itself, with the festival’s signature smiley face logos scattered throughout. Purchasing the sneaker grants access to the festival (likely a one-day pass), which takes place across three weekends in Milwaukee from late June through early July. This year’s lineup features Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Don Toliver, Chase B, and many, many more.
