After checking off a number of OG colorways and other essential looks, the resurgent Air Max Plus VII is now gunning for the front page with a handful of eye-catching patterned releases for summer. On the heels of the Air Max Plus VII “Scorpion” comes an eerie composition reminiscent of molten lava, shown here via official images.

Feeling right at home in a Revenge of the Sith-type setting, the Tuned Air silhouette here sports a black foundation with lava-like Fire Red and Hyper Crimson patterns on top. The shoe’s abstract, droplet-like TPU detailing is kept translucent to let the pattern shine through, while the heel clip and outsole bring in brighter orange accents. We’re reminded of the soccer stadium-inspired Air Max Plus “Flairemax,” though this pair skips the same thematic inspiration and special detailing.
