No one does an album rollout quite like Action Bronson. After bringing together Paul Wall and Lil Yachty for the first single and linking up with none other than Ryan Seacrest and Vana White on the set of Wheel of Fortune, the breadcrumb trail for his eighth album rolls onto our newswire at long last, with the New Balance 1890 factoring into his “Planet Frog” capsule.
To properly contextualize, this New Balance 1890 began making the rounds a few weeks back, as the rapper quickly posted then removed a flat teaser shot of this tertiary edition. Of course, it comes on the heels of his work under the “Hornet Tusk” and “Cyborg Tears” monikers, functionally the grand opening for the techy silhouette. This next step almost presents as a halfway point between both, utilizing the heavy earthy tones from the “Cyborg Tones” with multicolor trim around that. Olives, pinks, and royal blues mix up a trademark eccentric palette on top of beige mesh and grey suede overlays.
Beyond the shoes, Action Bronson puts forth a rangy mix of offerings, combining his inline Baklava clothing with what appears to be a G-Shock colorway and a pair of co-branded Oakleys. Perhaps it’s a moment where the Queens native is bringing together all of his partners as another album is on the horizon, or maybe it’s more straightforwardly a preview of all he has in store.
