The sneaker has begun landing at skate shops in the UK, meaning a stateside drop likely isn’t too far off. The colorway calls to mind the San Antonio Spurs’ “Fiesta” uniforms as well as the multi-color jerseys worn during the 1996 NBA All-Star Game.

Nike SB houses one of the most imaginative design teams under the Swoosh umbrella, even when its references lean more wink-and-nod than overt. This upcoming SB Dunk Low might fit into that camp, potentially drawing from the 1996 NBA All-Star Game and its unmistakable San Antonio backdrop.
That year’s All-Star Game is remembered for a few reasons, chief among them being Michael Jordan’s first after his initial retirement. MJ went on to win All-Star Game MVP in the “Columbia,” aka “Legend Blue” 11s, marking the only time he wore that colorway in an NBA game. The ’96 ASG is also beloved for its teal, orange, and pink uniforms, a palette San Antonio has since woven into its City Edition jerseys. This Nike SB Dunk Low can be viewed through either lens, saddled with an equally energetic blend of “Green Noise/Watermelon-Light Curry-Off Noir.” We could make a “South Beach” comparison, although Nike releases bearing that nickname typically don’t feature much orange, if any.
