How many footwear collaborators can claim to have designed clogs, basketball, and running shoes from the ground up? Salehe Bembury is a true anomaly in that regard, checking off that last box with the debut of the PUMA Velum NITRO last year. The Tribeca-born creative’s latest colorway is the most low-key we’ve seen from the model thus far, shelving bold color blocking in favor of a more understated Toasted Almond and Sand Dune mix.
The titular Toasted Almond color pins down the background, settling across the layered synthetic upper as well as the squiggly NITRO foam midsole. Sand Dune holds down the broken Formstripes, while the medial Salehe Bembury x PUMA co-branding and traction pads opt for dark brown. Cork insoles once again line the interior.
