Historically, the Super Bowl hasn’t been a spotlighted point in the calendar, but could the Jumpman be seeking out another high-octane showcase as the Big Game descends on SoFi Stadium? News of the Air Jordan 3 “Red Flip” points to yes, coming from the usual early info suspects with a February 13th date attached, just a day before the AFC-NFC showdown. Even more interestingly, the highlight of the NFL calendar comes on Valentine’s Day this year, perhaps a tacit inspiration for the “Varsity Red” palette swap on the “Flip” concept.
Finally, if somehow you needed more narrative backing, 2027 will mark the 20th anniversary of the original “Flip” Jordan 3, taking the silhouette’s elephant print hallmark and draping it across the entirety of the upper. That same clever inversion is expected to define this third iteration, coming as a sequel to a blacked-out version in 2010.
Again, the Air Jordan 3 “Red Flip” is expected to release on February 13th, 2027. While “Varsity Red” coloring is confirmed, the mock-up renderings below are entirely speculative in nature; the final product will almost certainly differ once revealed.
