Next up is the Nike Air Max 1 “Kansas City Royals.” For context, the 2015 champs leaned on ombre treatments for their take, said to bring Midwest sunsets and the Missouri metropolis’ network of rivers and channels.
Their take on the AM1 sticks mainly to those cues, with a split midsole design utilizing both chilly shades. A mesh and leather upper build takes up much of the real estate, but a modernist interpretation of the Royal’s crown appears on the heel to ensure you don’t lose sight of who this shoe is associated with.
