As the FIFA World Cup 2026 approaches, adidas and Willy Chavarria are expanding their ongoing partnership with a new collection rooted in football culture and Mexican heritage.

While the apparel offering includes officially licensed Selección Nacional de México merchandise and tailored lifestyle pieces, the footwear stands as the clear centerpiece as the designer continues to own the modern Megaride revival.

The Willy Mega Low arrives as an entirely new silhouette, featuring a striking skeletal framework wrapped around the upper. While futuristic in execution, the design also feels subtly connected to Mexican cultural motifs, where skeletal imagery has long served as a powerful symbol of heritage and remembrance. The result is one of the most visually distinctive footwear projects to emerge from the adidas and Willy Chavarria partnership to date.

Also included is the Megaride Copa, a model that bridges adidas’ past and future by combining the brand’s iconic Copa football boot DNA with the futuristic Megaride cushioning platform. The fusion of one of adidas’ most recognizable football silhouettes and one of its most ambitious lifestyle technologies perfectly reflects the collection’s broader theme, connecting football heritage with contemporary design. Completing the footwear offering are new editions of the Willy Megaride AG XL, featuring exaggerated proportions, premium detailing, and Chavarria’s signature design language throughout.

The footwear continues Chavarria’s signature approach of merging multiple focii, transforming familiar adidas performance language into something entirely new. That same philosophy has helped make the partnership one of adidas’ most compelling creative projects; from his pointed-toe Jabbars to the Harden Vol. 10 with molded uppers, Willy Chavarria and adidas are not interested in slapping logos on and calling it a day.

The collection arrives under the banner of “Comienza Con El Sueño” (“It Begins With The Dream”), a campaign centered on the idea that every football journey begins long before the world’s biggest stage. To support that message, adidas and Chavarria spotlight a new generation of Mexican football talent including Jesús Gilberto Orozco, Jeremy Márquez, Omar Campos, and Ariel Castro while celebrating the communities and cultures that inspire them.
