The Air Jordan 4 remains a key part of Jordan Brand’s planning, continuing to tee up retros and all-new looks season after season. Here we have a first look at what might be the most radical new Jordan of 2026 in the Air Jordan 4 “Comic,” dropping July 2026 in full family sizes.
Leaked images shared by @factoryinsiders reveal a number of firsts, the headline being never-before-seen backtab branding inspired by the bubble typography of comic books. The other focal point is the upper eyestay, taken in Fire Pink and shaped like text bubble made to distinguish an action sequence. The quarter and forefoot netting feature a red, yellow, and Fire Pink gradient, joined by a red pop on the lower eyestay and light pink on the outsole. The core of the sneaker is actually pretty tame, anchored by an Off White leather foundation with Anthracite hits on the wings, backtab, and midsole.

The sneaker is inspired by an old comic-themed Air Jordan tee from the 1990s, but news of a July 25th release date peels back the curtain even further. The drop coincides with San Diego Comic-Con, widely regarded as the most famous gathering of comic fans, collectors, and cosplayers in the world. Whether that means an exclusive drop is in the cards remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t be at all surprised.
