FIFA has enlisted a range of artists from across the globe for official anthems and kick-off concerts, yet none are more coveted than the Opening Ceremony honors.
Colombian superstar J. Balvin was one of several performers, and for his big-stage moment, he broke out yet another unreleased pair from his Jordan Brand arsenal. Immediately, this recalls a late-year leak that proclaimed his Air Jordan 4 “Lemonade” would be hitting shelves, coated comprehensively in the tropical tone. In this teaser shot, that bears fruit; croc textures drape the uppers and backtabs, with the latter finished by his upside-down smiley logo.
Surely, every moment where the J. Balvin x Jordan Brand relationship takes center stage is appointment viewing for the sneaker public. However, while we’ve known for some time that he’d continue a chronological spree through the Jumpman’s archives, exactly what that next step will look like has been a more mysterious matter. This marks the third AJ4 colorway we’ve seen so far, following two alternating multicolor versions.
