Edison Chen & CLOT Reveal The adidas Samba Espadrille For The World Cup

Compared to the pedal-to-the-metal pace at which Edison Chen and adidas put out new product in 2025, this year has taken a calmer pace. Yet even at restrained volumes, the Hong Kong maven and the Three Stripes maintain one of the more prolific partnerships across the industry. It’s only right that Chen gets in on the World Cup celebration, unveiling a futbol-inspired apparel capsule to go with three looks for the adidas Samba Espadrille.

Espadrille style has been a recent favorite in the adi x CLOT relationship; the Samba was first picked for this build with its classic white/black. Much of the terrace icon’s composition remains intact for this three-headed effort, leaning on classic two-tones and gum soles. Materially, the black and green pairs bracket the wicker cushioning below with nylon in their uppers, delivering a sportier take as opposed to classic leather. Yet the rosy pink pair does keep to that textured leather, subverting expectations on the most delicate of the three.

Of course, CLOT and adidas don’t just focus on footwear. A range of tees, jerseys, shorts, and windbreakers transforms brand imagery into an homage to a hypothetical football club, with much of the tonality there mirroring the classic hues utilized on the accompanying pairs.

The CLOT x adidas Samba Espadrille capsule drops on June 18th exclusively via JUICE channels (in-store, WeChat, online). Wider launch details are TBD.
