Shortly after the New York Knicks captured the 2026 NBA Championship, Skechers confirmed that OG Anunoby will receive his own signature shoe, marking a significant milestone for both the player and the brand. The announcement was included in an official press release that celebrated the Knicks star following the NBA Finals.
The news arrives less than three years after Skechers officially entered the performance basketball category in 2023. Since then, the brand has steadily expanded its roster of professional athletes while establishing a presence in the NBA Finals thanks to the Knicks forward.
Anunoby played a key role throughout New York’s title run while simultaneously becoming the brand’s most visible ambassador in the NBA and American professional sports. His player-exclusive footwear, such as the “NYC Blue” worn during the insane tip-in or his “Foreman” PE inspired by his defensive grit, generated newfound buzz throughout the playoffs, bring the brand’s basketball division into newfound territory.

Those PE moments are leading to something bigger because according to Skechers President Michael Greenberg, a signature shoe is officially in development. Specific details regarding the model remain under wraps. Currently, Joel Embiid is the only signature athlete under the Skechers brand among a strong roster that also includes Julius Randle, Isaiah Hartenstein, Norman Powell, Terance Mann, and more.
Born in London and raised in Missouri, Anunoby is now a two-time NBA Champion, having previously won a title with the Toronto Raptors in 2019 (although he missed the Playoffs due to injury) before being a key piece to New York’s championship this Summer. He also stands as the first British-born player in NBA history to win multiple championships.
